Aquarium Setup & Compatibility

Provide an established saltwater aquarium with open swimming lanes, mature rockwork for grazing, hiding places, strong oxygenation, and stable water quality. Plan space around the fish's adult needs.

Use particular care with other Zebrasoma tangs, including Yellow and Purple Tangs. Similar body shapes and feeding territories can trigger aggression. One Scopas Tang is the simplest choice for most aquariums; multiple tangs require careful planning and substantially more space.

Feeding

Offer marine nori or dried seaweed regularly, plus spirulina-based pellets, flakes, and quality frozen herbivore foods. Natural grazing supplements its diet but does not replace feeding. A seaweed clip provides a convenient feeding station.

Quarantine & Order Timing

This SAQ Chicago fish requires the supplier's seven-day quarantine process before shipping. Allow time for quarantine and shipment scheduling; overnight transit begins only after your fish is ready to ship. Supplier quarantine is an additional preparation step and does not guarantee a disease-free fish.
