Bright red hermits with yellow eyestalks for a varied cleanup crew.

Quick Care Guide

You receive: 5 hermit crabs.
Diet: Algae, organic debris and leftover food; supplement as required.
Aquarium: Established saltwater system with stable chemistry, suitable feeding surfaces and shelter.

Setup & Compatibility

Provide spare shells in several suitable sizes. Even relatively peaceful hermits can compete with snails for food or shells.

Water & Acclimation

Maintain approximately 75–78°F. Keep specific gravity near 1.024–1.026 and pH 8.1–8.4 with consistent water quality. Follow the supplied acclimation instructions and avoid sudden salinity changes, copper medication and rough handling.

Live Animal Notice

Photos show representative examples, not the exact animal shipped. Individual size, coloration and appearance vary naturally. Allow the animal time to settle after arrival.

Prepare for Arrival

Prepare with acclimation equipment, a reliable salinity tester and foods suited to this animal. Avoid copper-based medications in systems containing invertebrates.
