Tigger-Pods are large, highly visible copepods with an active, jerky swimming motion that naturally attracts fish and encourages feeding behavior. They are an excellent live food source for pod-hunting species including mandarins, dragonets, seahorses, pipefish, wrasses and other marine fish.

Each 6 oz bottle contains approximately 3,000 live copepods, including juveniles, mature adults and egg-bearing females, making Tigger-Pods useful both as a live food and for introducing a reproducing population into established reef systems.

How to Use

For best results, acclimate and add Tigger-Pods to the aquarium soon after receiving them.

Allow the bottle to gradually reach room temperature before introduction. Tigger-Pods may appear less active while cold and become noticeably more active as they warm.

Pour directly into the display aquarium, sump or refugium.

When establishing a pod population, adding them after the aquarium lights go out and temporarily reducing circulation can give the copepods time to move into rockwork, substrate and other protected areas before fish begin hunting them.

For direct feeding, temporarily turn off circulation pumps and add the desired amount to the aquarium.

Storage

For best results, use Tigger-Pods upon arrival.

When temporary storage is necessary, refrigerate the bottle with the cap loosened or opened to allow gas exchange. Do not freeze.
