Placement and Water Flow
Place the Hyacinth Birdsnest Coral in the middle-to-upper portion of the aquarium where it will receive moderate-to-strong, indirect water movement. Good circulation helps prevent debris from collecting between its branches.
Avoid positioning the coral directly in front of a powerful pump. Its thin branches are naturally fragile and may break when handled roughly or exposed to concentrated water flow.
Lighting and Acclimation
Medium-to-high reef lighting will support strong coloration and healthy growth. Begin the coral in moderate lighting and gradually acclimate it to brighter conditions to reduce the risk of light stress.
Stable alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, salinity, and temperature are essential for maintaining healthy tissue and consistent SPS growth.
