The EB832 is much more than an aquarium power strip. It provides eight individually controlled 120V AC outlets, allowing your Apex to automate heaters, pumps, lights, protein skimmers, UV sterilizers, fans, and other aquarium equipment.

Each AC outlet independently monitors power consumption, giving the Apex access to real-time amperage and wattage information. Customized alerts can warn you when a connected device stops drawing power, consumes more electricity than expected, or begins operating differently from its normal pattern.

An internal 100-watt 24V DC power supply also operates three built-in 1LINK ports and two switchable DC24 accessory ports, helping reduce separate power supplies and unnecessary cords around the aquarium.

IMPORTANT COMPATIBILITY NOTICE

The Energy Bar 832 is not a standalone power strip. It requires a compatible Neptune Systems Apex controller for programming, monitoring, and normal operation.

The EB832 is compatible with modern Apex controller systems, including compatible A2 and A3 models. It is not compatible with legacy Apex Classic controllers.

This North American model is designed for 120V AC, 60Hz electrical systems.

INTELLIGENT POWER MONITORING

The EB832 continually reports the power consumption of connected equipment to the Apex system. This information can help identify equipment problems before they become serious.

Depending on your equipment and Apex programming, abnormal power consumption may indicate:

• A return pump has stopped operating
• A protein skimmer airline is becoming restricted
• A heater is not drawing power
• A circulation pump is jammed or obstructed
• A light has failed to turn on
• A connected device is consuming more power than expected

Custom minimum and maximum power thresholds can be configured for individual outlets through the Apex system.

EIGHT CONTROLLED AC OUTLETS

Each of the eight 120V AC outlets can be programmed independently. Equipment can be controlled using schedules, temperature, pH, water-level sensors, feed modes, maintenance routines, and other Apex inputs.

Each outlet is rated for a maximum of 7 amps, with a maximum combined Energy Bar load of 15 amps.

BUILT-IN 1LINK PORTS

The internal 100-watt DC power supply operates three integrated 1LINK ports. Compatible Neptune Systems devices can receive power and communication through a single 1LINK connection, reducing the need for separate power supplies.

Compatible equipment may include select Neptune Systems:

• COR return pumps
• DŌS dosing systems
• Trident systems
• WAV circulation pumps
• Other compatible 1LINK devices

Always confirm the power requirements and compatibility of each connected device. The combined 1LINK and DC24 load must remain within the EB832’s available power capacity.

DC24 ACCESSORY PORTS

Two switchable 24V DC accessory ports can power compatible Neptune Systems accessories and other supported 24V devices within the specified power limit.

Compatible accessories may include:

• PMUP utility pumps
• SV-1 solenoid valves
• GRO refugium lights
• Compatible DC24 accessories under 30 watts
• Approved devices connected with a Neptune DC24-to-bare-wire accessory

Each DC24 port can be programmed through the Apex system.

AQUABUS EXPANSION

Three AquaBus ports allow the EB832 to communicate with the Apex and provide additional connections for compatible Neptune Systems modules.

A 3-foot AquaBus cable is included.

PROGRAMMABLE FALLBACK CONTROL

Each outlet can be assigned a fallback state for use if communication with the Apex base unit is interrupted. Critical equipment can be programmed to remain on or off according to the needs of the aquarium.

Fallback settings must be properly configured and tested by the user.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

Use properly installed drip loops on all electrical cords. Connect aquarium equipment to properly grounded, GFCI-protected electrical circuits and remain within all per-outlet and total-load limits.

Do not install the Energy Bar directly below an aquarium, sump, plumbing connection, or other potential source of water. Follow all Neptune Systems installation, electrical, and programming instructions.
