Meteor Shower Cyphastrea is hardy, adaptable, and relatively fast growing once established. Its encrusting growth pattern makes it an excellent choice for covering rockwork, isolated islands, and other reef-safe surfaces.

Placement and Care

Begin by placing the Meteor Shower Cyphastrea in the lower portion of the aquarium under low to moderate lighting. This coral often displays its strongest coloration under lower light and may become stressed or faded when introduced directly to intense lighting.

Provide moderate, indirect water movement that keeps the coral clean without directing a harsh stream against its tissue. Leave adequate space between the frag and neighboring corals because it may sting or overgrow nearby livestock as it expands.

Choose its permanent placement carefully. Once established, this coral can spread across surrounding rockwork and other hard surfaces. An isolated rock can help contain its growth while creating a colorful display.

Maintain stable alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, salinity, and temperature for healthy skeletal development and vibrant coloration.

Feeding
