The inoculum contains a selected blend of probiotic purple non-sulfur bacteria cultures.

Additional Supplies Required

Some common household supplies are required to prepare and maintain the culture, including purified water, a kitchen funnel and thermometer, unscented household bleach, hydrogen peroxide, isopropyl alcohol and an appropriate light source. Temperature control may also be needed depending on the environment.

Cultivation

PNS HomeGro requires careful preparation and sanitation before inoculation.

After preparing the supplied growth medium and introducing the PNSB inoculum, the culture should be maintained at approximately 82–86°F (28–30°C) under continuous moderate light.

Complete incubation generally takes around 30 days or longer. The culture is considered mature when additional growth has stopped for at least five consecutive days.
