Ships directly from our livestock supplier Monday–Wednesday, subject to animal readiness and safe weather. Allow up to a 14-day quarantine/preparation window before dispatch. Overnight transit begins after shipment, not when the order is placed. Supplier preparation does not replace your own quarantine or guarantee a disease-free fish.

Adult size: Up to approximately 18 inches.
Recommended minimum aquarium: 180 gallons; footprint, stocking and adult needs matter.

Aquarium Setup & Compatibility

Generally reef compatible, but individual behavior varies. Requires extensive swimming space and strong oxygenation; 300+ gallons is preferable for a full-grown adult. Tail streamers and sex are not guaranteed. Take care around the sharp tail spines.

Feeding for Long-Term Success

Herbivore: daily nori or other marine algae, spirulina and quality herbivore foods, with varied supplemental marine foods.

Water & Arrival

Provide a fully cycled, stable marine aquarium around 75–78°F, specific gravity 1.024–1.026 and pH 8.1–8.4. Ammonia and nitrite should be undetectable. Follow the supplied arrival instructions and avoid abrupt salinity or temperature changes. Use a covered aquarium and species-appropriate quarantine setup.
