Reef Octopus Classic 2000 HOB Protein Skimmer – Up to 200 Gallons

The Reef Octopus Classic 2000 HOB Protein Skimmer provides powerful protein skimming for saltwater aquariums without requiring a sump. Designed for systems up to 200 gallons, it is an excellent choice for reef tanks, fish-only systems and marine aquariums with limited cabinet space.

Its space-saving configuration positions the Aquatrance 2000s pinwheel pump externally beneath the skimmer body. This reduces the clearance needed behind the aquarium while limiting heat transfer from the pump into the water.

The efficient pinwheel pump creates a fine mixture of air and water to remove proteins, dissolved organic waste and other pollutants before they break down. An adjustable surface skimmer helps collect organic buildup from the water’s surface, while the included air silencer supports quieter operation.

Constructed from durable, high-quality acrylic, the Classic 2000 HOB is designed for reliable performance and easy maintenance. The pump can be removed for convenient cleaning and servicing.
