IceCap Bio-Sphere Pellet Biological Filter Media provides an ultra-high-surface-area environment for beneficial bacteria while using a compact pellet design that fits easily into a wide variety of aquarium filtration systems.

Each ceramic pellet contains a dense arrangement of small ceramic spheres designed to encourage mass colonization of beneficial bacteria. These bacteria play an essential role in nutrient cycling and help maintain a stable biological filtration system.

Suitable for freshwater, saltwater, reef aquariums, and ponds.

Directions for Use

Rinse media before use.

Place the Bio-Sphere Pellets directly into your filtration system or use the included media bag to keep the pellets contained.

For best results, the media can be seeded with a beneficial bacteria culture before being added to the aquarium to encourage faster colonization.

Maintenance

For optimal performance, rinse the media with aquarium water and gently remove accumulated surface debris approximately every 12 months.

Replace the media approximately every five years or as needed.

Important: Never clean or replace all biological filter media at the same time, as this can significantly reduce the established beneficial bacteria population in your aquarium.

Additional Bio-Sphere media can be added when greater biological filtration capacity is required.
