The Dwarf Zebra Lionfish (Dendrochirus zebra) is one of the most striking and personable predator fish available for saltwater aquariums. Featuring bold brown and white zebra-like striping, oversized fan-shaped pectoral fins, and graceful swimming behavior, this lionfish quickly becomes the centerpiece of any fish-only or predator aquarium.

Unlike the larger Volitan Lionfish, the Dwarf Zebra remains a more manageable size while still displaying the unmistakable beauty and hunting behavior that lionfish are famous for. They are slow, deliberate swimmers that spend much of the day perched among rockwork before emerging to stalk prey with surprising precision.

The Dwarf Zebra Lionfish thrives in aquariums with caves, ledges, and plenty of swimming room. While considered reef safe with corals, they will consume ornamental shrimp, crabs, and any fish small enough to fit in their mouth, making careful tankmate selection essential.
