Condition up to 15,000 gallons of aquarium water with aquavitro alpha, an ultra-concentrated water conditioner that removes chlorine and chloramine while detoxifying ammonia, nitrite and nitrate.

Formulated primarily for saltwater and reef aquariums, alpha may also be used in freshwater systems. Its concentrated formula is 50% more active than Seachem Prime and helps convert ammonia into a safe, non-toxic form that can be processed by the aquarium’s biological filter.

alpha is non-acidic, will not affect aquarium pH and is formulated to avoid excessive protein-skimmer activation. It also supports the natural production and regeneration of the protective slime coat on fish.

Standard Directions

Use 5 mL for every 75 gallons of new aquarium water.

For best results, add alpha to replacement water before introducing it to the aquarium. If dosing directly into the aquarium, calculate the dosage using the aquarium’s total water volume.

At the standard dosage, alpha removes approximately:

• 1 mg/L of ammonia
• 4 mg/L of chloramine
• 5 mg/L of chlorine

Special Dosing

For unusually high chloramine concentrations, a double dose may be used.

To detoxify nitrite during an emergency, up to five times the standard dosage may be used.

If the water temperature exceeds 86°F and chlorine or ammonia levels are low, use half the standard dosage.

Important

A sulfur-like odor is normal and does not indicate that the product has spoiled.

Always test aquarium water and follow the complete directions printed on the product label. Water conditioners temporarily detoxify harmful compounds but do not replace an established biological filter, proper maintenance or regular water changes.
