Red Goniopora can become aggressive when placed near competing corals. Its tentacles may develop white tips when charged with stinging cells. Provide sufficient space between this coral and neighboring specimens to prevent contact.

Begin placement in a lower-light area and gradually acclimate the coral to stronger lighting. Moderate, indirect water movement should gently move the polyps without forcefully whipping them around.
