ORA Aquacultured Red Goniopora Coral
Add intense color and graceful movement to your reef aquarium with the ORA Aquacultured Red Goniopora. Also known as a Red Flowerpot Coral, this beautiful LPS features long, flowing metallic-red polyps with contrasting purplish-blue centers.
This strain has been propagated by ORA for many generations and has proven easier to maintain in aquariums than many wild-collected Goniopora varieties.

Red Goniopora can become aggressive when placed near competing corals. Its tentacles may develop white tips when charged with stinging cells. Provide sufficient space between this coral and neighboring specimens to prevent contact.
Begin placement in a lower-light area and gradually acclimate the coral to stronger lighting. Moderate, indirect water movement should gently move the polyps without forcefully whipping them around.

Feeding
This Goniopora receives much of its energy from reef lighting but benefits from occasional feeding with appropriately sized coral foods, amino acids and suspended planktonic foods. Maintaining available nutrients can help support healthy polyp extension, coloration and growth.
