Care Requirements:

• Lighting: Low to Moderate. Acan Bowerbanki corals thrive under lower to moderate lighting conditions (50-150 PAR). Intense lighting can cause them to recede, lose color, or bleach. They typically do best on the sandbed or lower to mid-level rockwork, often in partially shaded areas.

• Water Flow: Low to Moderate. Provide gentle, indirect water flow. Strong, direct flow can irritate the polyps, prevent them from fully extending, and potentially cause tissue damage. The flow should be sufficient to keep detritus from settling on the coral.

• Water Parameters: Stable and consistent water parameters are vital for the health and vibrant coloration of Acan Bowerbanki.

  • Temperature: 72-78°F (22-26°C)

  • Salinity: 1.024-1.026 specific gravity

  • Alkalinity: 8-10 dKH

  • Calcium: 400-450 ppm

  • Magnesium: 1300-1400 ppm

  • Nitrate: <10 ppm

  • Phosphate: <0.05 ppm

• Feeding: While photosynthetic, Acan Bowerbanki are avid eaters and will significantly benefit from regular target feeding. Offer small, meaty foods such as finely chopped mysis shrimp, enriched brine shrimp, coral pellets, or high-quality coral foods designed for LPS corals, 2-3 times per week. Feed after the lights dim or turn off when their feeding tentacles are extended.

• Placement: Place the UC Golden Master Acan Bowerbanki on a stable rock structure or on the sandbed. Ensure it has enough space, as its feeding tentacles can extend at night and may sting neighboring corals. They are generally considered semi-aggressive.

With its imperial colors, robust polyps, and impressive presence, the UC Golden Master Acan Bowerbanki is an exquisite and rewarding addition that will reign supreme in your reef aquarium!
