Placement and Feeding

Place the Tangerine Fungia Plate Coral on a flat, open section of the sand bed. Avoid placing it directly on sharp or uneven rockwork because its delicate underside and soft tissue may become damaged.

Plate corals can inflate themselves and slowly reposition within the aquarium. Leave adequate space between this coral and neighboring livestock to prevent contact or stinging.

Although this coral receives much of its nutrition through photosynthesis, occasional target feeding with finely chopped meaty marine foods or a suitable LPS coral food may support healthy growth and coloration.

Live Coral Shipping Disclaimer

Live fish and corals are shipped by FedEx Priority Overnight in insulated packaging with appropriate temperature protection.

Live-animal orders generally ship Monday through Wednesday. Orders may be held when severe temperatures, storms or carrier disruptions could place the coral at risk.

Live-animal shipping is $39.99 per order. Orders containing $300 or more in qualifying live animals receive free live-animal shipping.

Live animals ship separately from standard equipment and dry goods. Someone should be available to receive the package and begin acclimation promptly after delivery.

An order confirmation does not guarantee immediate shipment. The coral must be inspected and cleared before its delivery date is scheduled.

Live Arrival Guarantee

Inspect the coral immediately after delivery. Any live-arrival claim must be submitted within 12 hours of delivery and include clear photographs of the coral inside the shipping bag and outside of the bag.

Shipping charges are nonrefundable. Because this is an individual WYSIWYG specimen, an identical replacement may not be available. Approved claims will be handled according to our current Live Arrival Guarantee and store policies.
