Improve aquarium water quality naturally with Seachem Pristine, a bacterial water treatment that helps break down excess food, organic waste and accumulated detritus in freshwater and saltwater aquariums.

Pristine uses bio-augmentation, a natural and non-chemical process that introduces specialized bacteria capable of consuming a wide variety of organic compounds. These hardy bacteria can adapt to many aquarium conditions, including low-oxygen environments, while helping reduce the excess nutrients that contribute to poor water quality and nuisance organism growth.

The established bacterial colonies also produce natural biopolymers that help trap suspended particles, improving aquarium water clarity and creating a cleaner aquatic environment.

If antibiotics have been used, remove them with fresh activated carbon and perform a water change before adding Pristine.
