Clarity uses a powerful polymeric flocculating agent that binds tiny suspended particles together, allowing them to be captured more effectively by your aquarium’s mechanical filtration. It works on multiple types of cloudiness, including suspended debris, disturbed substrate, bacterial blooms, algae blooms and chemical clouding.

Unlike products designed to address only one type of cloudiness, Seachem Clarity provides an effective all-purpose solution while remaining safe for fish, plants, corals and invertebrates when used as directed.

Directions

Use one capful, or 5 mL, for every 20 gallons of aquarium water.

Temporary additional cloudiness may appear immediately after dosing. This is normal and indicates that Clarity is binding small particles together so they can be captured by the filter. Rapid clarification should follow, typically within one to two hours.

For best results, use Clarity with effective mechanical filtration such as fine filter floss or a filter cartridge. Clean or replace the mechanical filter media after the aquarium water clears, as it may become loaded with captured debris.

Clarity may be used every 24 hours as needed. Always follow the directions printed on the product label.

Important Filtration Note

Seachem Clarity requires mechanical filtration to physically remove the particles it collects. For best results, make sure the aquarium filter is operating properly and contains fine mechanical filter media.
