Seachem Ammonia Alert Continuous Ammonia Monitor

The Seachem Ammonia Alert provides continuous monitoring of toxic free ammonia in freshwater and saltwater aquariums. Its reusable sensor changes color as ammonia levels rise, giving aquarium keepers an easy-to-read warning without test strips, chemicals, or water samples.

Simply place the monitor inside the aquarium or filter where it can be viewed easily. The center sensor changes from yellow to green and then blue according to the concentration of free ammonia in the water. Each monitor lasts for over one year under normal aquarium conditions.

The Ammonia Alert is an excellent additional safeguard for established aquariums, new tank setups, quarantine systems, hospital tanks, shipping containers, and temporary livestock holding systems.

Reading the Monitor

The center sensor changes color according to the level of toxic free ammonia:

• Safe: Yellow

• Alert: Green

• Alarm: Blue-green

• Toxic: Blue

A dry sensor may initially appear slightly green. After installation, allow the monitor up to several days to fully adjust to the aquarium water. Response to decreasing ammonia levels may take approximately four hours.

Directions

Place the Seachem Ammonia Alert inside the aquarium or filter in a clearly visible location. No water sampling or additional chemicals are required.

This product provides continuous supplemental monitoring and should not replace routine aquarium maintenance or comprehensive water testing. It is not recommended for aquariums maintained at an acidic pH.
