Sand Sifting Strawberry Conch (Conomurex luhuanus)
Keep your sand bed clean and healthy with the fascinating Sand Sifting Strawberry Conch (Conomurex luhuanus). This hardworking cleanup crew member spends its day cruising across the substrate, consuming diatoms, film algae, detritus, and leftover food while naturally stirring and aerating the sand bed.
Recognized by its beautifully patterned shell, long eyestalks, and unique hopping movement, the Strawberry Conch is both an effective algae grazer and one of the most entertaining invertebrates you can add to a reef aquarium.
Peaceful and reef safe, these active grazers are an excellent choice for mature reef aquariums with established sand beds.

Compatibility
Strawberry Conchs are peaceful and compatible with most reef-safe fish, corals, shrimp, snails, hermit crabs, and other invertebrates. They spend nearly all of their time on the sand bed, helping keep the substrate clean while searching for algae and organic matter.
For best long-term success, they should be kept in mature aquariums with established sand beds that provide a continuous supply of natural food. In newer aquariums or systems with very clean substrates, supplemental feedings of sinking herbivore foods or algae-based foods may be beneficial.
Avoid housing with large Triggerfish, Puffers, or other predators that may attack snails.
