Live animals are shipped Monday through Thursday using FedEx Priority Overnight. A $39.99 overnight shipping fee applies per live-animal order. Qualifying live-animal orders of $300 or more receive free shipping. Weather conditions, carrier availability, and animal health may affect the scheduled shipping date. The photograph is representative of the animal you will receive; coloration, shape, and size will naturally vary.

Rose Bubble Tip Anemone

Bring brilliant color and natural movement to your reef aquarium with an aquacultured Rose Bubble Tip Anemone. Known for its vibrant rose, red, and pink coloration, this iconic reef inhabitant may form rounded bubble-shaped tips and can develop a fascinating hosting relationship with compatible clownfish.

Each anemone is aquacultured by the Saltwater Aquarium Coral Farm and measures approximately 3 to 6+ inches when fully expanded. Because every anemone is a living animal, its exact coloration, tentacle shape, and expanded size will vary.

Placement

Allow the anemone to choose its preferred location. Bubble Tip Anemones attach their foot deep within rockwork or protected crevices and may move around the aquarium until they find a location with suitable lighting and water flow.

Maintain adequate space between the anemone and nearby corals. Its tentacles can sting neighboring corals, and a moving anemone may damage anything in its path.

Feeding

Rose Bubble Tip Anemones receive much of their energy through photosynthesis but may benefit from occasional supplemental feeding. Offer appropriately sized portions of mysis shrimp, finely chopped shrimp, krill, or other marine-based meaty foods once or twice per week.

Avoid feeding oversized pieces, as they can be difficult for the anemone to digest. Overfeeding may also negatively affect water quality.

Before You Purchase

Bubble Tip Anemones should only be introduced into mature, stable aquariums. We recommend an aquarium that has been established for at least six months and maintains consistent temperature, salinity, and nutrient levels.

Anemones can move unexpectedly. All wavemakers, powerheads, overflow openings, and pump intakes should be properly guarded before the animal is introduced. An uncovered pump can seriously injure or kill a wandering anemone.

Clownfish hosting is a natural behavior but is not guaranteed. Some clownfish may immediately accept the anemone, while others may take time or never develop a hosting relationship.
