Red Sea ReefMat 250 Smart Fleece Roller Filter
Bring automated mechanical filtration and smart monitoring to smaller reef systems with the Red Sea ReefMat 250.
The ReefMat 250 is a compact, fully automated fleece roller filter designed to continuously remove suspended waste from aquarium water while eliminating the routine cleaning and replacement associated with traditional filter socks.
With ReefBeat connectivity, automatic fleece advancement, solid-state water level sensors, and an integrated media basket, the ReefMat 250 brings Red Sea's smart filtration platform to systems up to 66 gallons.
Automatic Fleece Filtration
Aquarium water passes through a high-flow fleece mat that captures suspended particles, detritus, uneaten food, and other debris before it can continue circulating through the system.
As the fleece becomes loaded, the ReefMat automatically advances fresh material into position.
Instead of pulling out dirty filter socks every few days, used fleece collects on the take-up roll while the ReefMat handles the process automatically.
ReefBeat Smart Monitoring
The ReefMat 250 connects to Red Sea's ReefBeat smart aquarium ecosystem.
Its smart drive unit monitors fleece usage and can alert you when the fleece is running low, has run out, or has torn. ReefBeat also provides daily fleece usage information, giving you another way to monitor what's happening within the aquarium.
High-Flow Mechanical Filtration
Despite its compact size, the ReefMat 250 supports aquarium flow rates up to 900 gallons per hour.
Red Sea recommends the unit for aquarium systems up to 66 gallons / 250 liters, making it a strong choice for smaller and medium-sized reef systems where you want automated filtration without installing a much larger roller filter.
200-Micron Fleece
The ReefMat uses high-flow, skimmer-friendly 50 g/m² nonwoven polyester fleece with 200-micron porosity.
Each ReefMat 250 roll measures approximately:
Width: 3.2 inches
Length: 105 feet
Replacement rolls can be changed without removing the ReefMat from the sump or shutting down the aquarium's pumps.
Integrated Media Basket
Mechanical filtration isn't the only job the ReefMat can handle.
An integrated media basket provides space for additional chemical filtration media, allowing you to incorporate compatible media into the filtration system without requiring another separate reactor or media container.
