Designed for reef aquariums up to 80 gallons with an SPS/high bioload, 160 gallons for a mixed reef, or 240 gallons for fish-only systems, the DC 300 combines powerful waste removal with smart monitoring and automatic pump adjustment.

Self-Leveling Technology

Here's the feature that makes the DC version worth carrying.

A dual-action solid-state sensor continuously monitors both foam wetness and the waste level in the collection cup. When foam becomes wetter than the user-defined over-skimming threshold, the system automatically reduces pump intensity.

It then gradually adjusts the pump until stable skimming is restored at the preset intensity. This helps prevent sudden over-skimming and collection cup overflow while maintaining efficient operation.

Variable-Speed Sicce PSK DC Pump

The REEFER DC 300 uses Red Sea's PSK DC-1200 Sicce pump, providing variable flow and quiet, energy-efficient operation.

For the DC 300, Red Sea specifies:

The combination of the DC pump, proportionally sized venturi, bubble diffuser, and reaction body is designed to maximize air-to-water contact for efficient organic waste removal.

When connected through the required ReefRun Dual Controller, the REEFER DC Skimmer becomes part of Red Sea's ReefBeat ecosystem.

Compatible smart functionality includes variable pump control, Self-Leveling operation, and notifications if the pump becomes blocked or runs dry.

The ReefRun Dual Controller can operate two compatible devices, allowing you to connect a REEFER DC Skimmer and compatible ReefRun return pump to the same controller.
