Orphek Omini 77mm Magnetic Lens Kit

The Omini gives you a hands-free way to examine and photograph corals through your aquarium panel. Attach the magnetic base to a compatible glass or acrylic tank and choose from three 77 mm lenses for close-up detail or color correction. The lenses can also attach directly to a DSLR lens with a matching 77 mm filter thread.

What the three lenses are for

• 77 mm macro: See coral polyp structure, small animals and other fine details more clearly during viewing or photography.
• 15,000 K orange: Balances the heavy blue cast commonly seen in reef photos.
• 20,000 K yellow: Adds another color-balance option under intense blue aquarium lighting.

Swap lenses to suit the subject or combine compatible filters by screwing the rings together. The magnetic mount holds the optical assembly in position while you frame a photo, make video or inspect a particular area.

Check your tank and camera first

Orphek lists compatibility with glass and acrylic panels up to 15 mm (0.59 inches) thick. The magnetic base goes outside the aquarium and the matching magnet goes inside. Keep both contact areas free of grit when positioning or moving the mount. For direct camera mounting, your camera lens needs a 77 mm filter thread; a 55 mm lens will not take the filters directly.

How the mount is built

Orphek uses an NdFeB rare-earth magnet within an ABS housing and a protective felt sleeve. The 77 mm optical lenses have aluminum rings and are designed to be swapped or combined. The protective case keeps the parts together when you move between tanks or take the kit on a trip.
