The Zombie Clownfish is one of the most unusual Black Ocellaris color variations produced by ORA. Juveniles begin life with vivid neon-orange coloration and striking iridescent red eyes. As they mature, varying amounts of darker Black Ocellaris pigmentation develop across the body, creating a smoky mixture of gray, black and glowing orange patches.

No two Zombie Clownfish develop exactly alike. Their strange, weathered coloration is completely natural to this designer variety and is exactly what gives these fish their unforgettable “living dead” appearance.

These captive-bred clownfish are generally hardy, adaptable and well suited for established reef or marine aquariums. They do not require an anemone and may choose to host in corals, aquarium decorations or another favorite area of the tank.

Feeding

Offer a varied diet of quality marine pellets, flakes and appropriately sized frozen foods such as mysis shrimp, enriched brine shrimp and finely chopped marine preparations. Feed small portions once or twice daily.

Compatibility

Zombie Ocellaris Clownfish are usually peaceful with unrelated community fish but may defend their chosen territory, especially after becoming established. Avoid housing them with additional clownfish unless the aquarium is large enough to provide separate territories.
