Powerful, Quiet, and Fully Controllable DC Return Pump

The Octo VarioS 8 Controllable Return Pump is engineered for reef aquariums that demand high performance, energy efficiency, and precise control. Delivering up to 2,700 GPH with a maximum head height of 18 feet, the VarioS 8 is ideal for medium to large reef systems, providing reliable water movement while operating quietly and efficiently.

Unlike traditional AC return pumps, the VarioS 8 utilizes advanced 36V DC technology, producing less heat, consuming less power, and offering complete control over water flow. The included digital controller features five adjustable speed settings, programmable feed modes, and a 0–10V input, allowing seamless integration with compatible aquarium controllers such as Neptune Apex.

Built with premium ceramic components and a waterproof controller connection, the VarioS 8 is designed for years of dependable service. Its rotatable volute allows flexible plumbing configurations, while the included float switch adds an extra layer of protection by automatically shutting the pump off if sump water levels become too high or too low.
