Placement & Growth

Mohawk Zoanthids can be placed on stable rockwork where they receive appropriate lighting and water movement.

Once established, Zoanthids can spread across surrounding surfaces and form larger colonies. Consider placing the frag on an isolated rock or dedicated zoanthid garden if you want to manage its spread as the colony grows.

Allow adequate space between the colony and neighboring corals.

Lighting & Water Flow

Provide low to moderate reef lighting with low to moderate water movement.

Flow should help keep debris from settling around the polyps without continuously blasting the colony.

When introducing the coral to stronger reef lighting, gradual light acclimation is recommended.

Feeding & Nutrition

Mohawk Zoanthids receive much of their nutritional needs through photosynthesis and generally do not require direct target feeding.

They may benefit from nutrients and appropriately sized suspended foods available within a healthy reef aquarium.
