Protect Your Aquarium Before a Small Leak Becomes a Big Disaster

Water leaks are one of the biggest risks aquarium owners face. A slow drip from a fitting, an overflowing protein skimmer, a leaking return pump, or a failed plumbing connection can quickly cause costly damage to your aquarium, furniture, flooring, and electronics.

The HYDROS Leak Detection Sensor continuously monitors for the presence of water and instantly alerts your HYDROS Control System when moisture is detected. From there, HYDROS can send notifications directly to your phone and even trigger automated responses such as shutting off pumps or turning off equipment to help minimize damage.

Whether you own a freshwater aquarium, reef tank, planted aquarium, turtle enclosure, or pond equipment room, leak detection is one of the smartest investments you can make.

Why Every Aquarium Needs Leak Detection

Aquarium leaks rarely happen when you're standing in front of the tank.

They happen:

• While you're at work
• Overnight while you're sleeping
• During vacations
• After routine maintenance
• When plumbing fittings loosen over time
• If an ATO sticks on
• If a skimmer overflows
• When equipment fails unexpectedly

By the time you notice the problem, gallons of water may already be on your floor.

The HYDROS Leak Detection Sensor gives your aquarium another layer of protection by detecting leaks immediately so you can take action before they become disasters.

• Near your ATO reservoir
• Around your RO/DI system
• Under your mixing station
• Near aquarium plumbing

Adding multiple sensors throughout your system provides even greater protection if you have available Sense Ports.

Smart Automation with HYDROS

When connected to a HYDROS Controller, the Leak Detection Sensor can do much more than simply detect water.

Create custom automations such as:

• Send a push notification to your phone
• Turn off your return pump
• Shut down your protein skimmer
• Disable your ATO
• Turn on warning lights
• Activate audible alarms
• Trigger custom automation routines

Instead of simply warning you after a leak occurs, HYDROS can actively help reduce the damage.
