Place the Green Pipe Organ Coral on stable rockwork where it receives adequate lighting and gentle to moderate water movement.

Unlike aggressive encrusting soft corals such as Green Star Polyps, Pipe Organ Coral develops its characteristic tubular skeletal structure as the colony grows. It can make an excellent choice for filling an open section of rockwork while adding movement to the reef.

Its skeleton is relatively delicate, so handle the coral carefully when placing or relocating it. Pipe Organ Coral also benefits from sufficient flow to prevent detritus and algae from accumulating around its tubes.

Lighting & Water Flow

Provide low to moderate lighting and low to moderate water flow.

Water movement should keep the polyps gently moving and help prevent debris from settling within the colony without subjecting the coral to strong, direct flow.
