Porous Ceramic Media for Biological Filtration

BIO-FX provides an inert ceramic surface for beneficial nitrifying bacteria in aquarium filters. Its connected pores and cavities let water pass through the media while providing room for bacterial colonization.

• Choose the 2 L or 5 L package.
• Suitable for compatible canister filters, power filters, and sump media compartments.
• The 2 L format uses media suited to smaller filtration compartments; check space and flow before fitting.
• Place after mechanical filtration so debris is removed before water reaches the biological media.
• Rinse during maintenance with removed aquarium water. Replace media gradually rather than removing the entire established bacterial population.
