Why Use An Aquarium Lid?

Helps Reduce Evaporation

Nano aquariums can experience faster evaporation due to their smaller water volume. A lid helps reduce water loss and can help maintain more stable salinity levels in saltwater aquariums.

Helps Prevent Jumping Fish

Many nano aquarium fish and shrimp are known jumpers. A properly fitted aquarium lid helps provide additional protection against accidental escapes.

Helps Reduce Salt Creep & Splashing

For saltwater systems, lids can help reduce splashing and salt buildup around aquarium lighting and surrounding surfaces.

Helps Maintain Cleaner Aquariums

Aquarium lids can also help reduce dust, pet hair, and airborne debris from entering the aquarium system.
