Denison Barb – 3 Pack or 6 Pack
Denison Barbs are colorful, energetic freshwater fish known for their streamlined silver bodies, bold black stripes, vivid red markings and yellow-and-black tails. Also called Roseline Sharks or Red-Line Torpedo Barbs, they create an impressive display when swimming together.
Denison Barbs must be maintained in a school of at least six. Choose the 6-pack when starting a new school. The 3-pack is intended only for adding fish to an established group.
Available Options
3 Pack: Includes three small Denison Barbs for adding to an existing school.
6 Pack: Includes six small Denison Barbs and is the recommended option for starting a new school.

Aquarium Requirements
Denison Barbs are fast, active swimmers that need a long aquarium with plenty of open swimming space. A 75-gallon or larger aquarium is strongly recommended for an established school.
Provide plants, smooth rocks and driftwood around the perimeter while preserving an open swimming area. Clean, highly oxygenated water, moderate movement and consistent maintenance are important.
A secure aquarium lid is recommended because these fish may jump when startled.
Feeding
Offer a varied diet of quality tropical pellets or flakes, spirulina-based foods and occasional vegetable matter. Frozen or freeze-dried brine shrimp, daphnia, bloodworms and mysis shrimp may also be provided.
Tank Mates
Suitable tank mates may include:
-
Other Denison Barbs
-
Larger tetras
-
Peaceful barbs
-
Rainbowfish
-
Corydoras
-
Peaceful loaches
-
Compatible gouramis
Avoid very small, slow-moving, long-finned, aggressive or predatory fish. Compatibility is never guaranteed.
Acclimation
Keep aquarium lights dim during acclimation. Gradually acclimate the fish to the aquarium’s temperature and water conditions, and never add shipping water to the aquarium.
Provide a quiet environment after introduction and allow the fish time to join the school before feeding.
Quarantine and Processing
These fish will ship within a 14-day quarantine window, depending on their current stage of quarantine and preparation.
Tracking information will be provided once the fish have been cleared and transferred to the carrier.
