Place the colony where its tentacles can extend naturally without receiving harsh or direct flow. Excessive flow may prevent full expansion or damage its delicate tissue.
Provide generous space between the Torch and neighboring corals. Torch corals can extend long sweeper tentacles capable of stinging nearby specimens.
Maintain stable salinity, temperature, alkalinity, calcium, magnesium and nutrient levels. Avoid sudden changes in lighting or water chemistry.
Supplemental feeding is optional but may support growth. Small portions of appropriately sized meaty reef foods may be offered periodically.

Corals may arrive contracted and require time to fully extend after acclimation. Coloration and appearance can vary under different aquarium lights, camera settings, screens, water conditions and levels of polyp expansion.
Always inspect and, when appropriate, dip and quarantine new coral before introducing it to an established reef aquarium.
