ATI Straton X — Broad Reef Lighting in a Slim, Silent Fixture
The 150W Straton X combines a 9mm aluminum housing, fanless cooling and 100 individually reflected LEDs. Its broad emitting surface helps reduce concentrated hotspots and coral self-shading. Reef Pilot app control lets you adjust spectrum, intensity and schedules.
One Fixture: PAR & Coverage
The following are ATI-published performance figures, not measurements taken in your aquarium. PAR is expressed in µmol/m²/s.
| ATI measurement | Published result |
|---|---|
| SPS coverage at 60cm / 23.6in from the fixture | At least 200 PAR across an 85cm / 33.5in diameter area |
| LPS coverage at the same 60cm fixture distance | At least 100 PAR across a 100cm / 39.4in diameter area |
| Average across a 60 × 60cm / 23.6 × 23.6in area, 60cm from the fixture | 390 PAR |
| Maximum at 20cm / 7.9in from the fixture | 1,800 PAR |
The measurement distance is from the light, not water depth. ATI recommends mounting approximately 25–30cm / 10–12in above the water. Its 60cm test distance therefore corresponds roughly to a measurement plane 30–35cm / 12–14in below the surface at that mounting height.
How Much Tank Length Can One Cover?
Use ATI’s 33.5in SPS and 39.4in LPS figures as diameter-based planning references, not a guarantee of those PAR levels throughout a square footprint or at every depth. A 24in-long reef is a reasonable starting point for one-fixture planning. Wider or longer systems, tall rockwork and dense SPS colonies may need additional fixtures or overlapping coverage. A 48in or 72in tank should not be assumed fully covered by one light.
Actual PAR depends on mounting height, spectrum, intensity, water clarity, surface movement, depth and shading. Measure your aquarium with a PAR meter and acclimate corals gradually. Coral requirements vary; the app’s PAR display should not replace an in-tank measurement.
