Care Requirements:

• Lighting: Low to Moderate. This ARC Master Acan Bowerbanki thrives under lower to moderate lighting conditions (50-150 PAR). Intense lighting can stress them, leading to retraction, color dulling, or bleaching. They generally do best when placed lower in the tank, on the sandbed, or in areas with some partial shading.

• Water Flow: Low to Moderate. Provide gentle, indirect water flow. Strong, direct flow can irritate the polyps, preventing full extension and potentially causing tissue damage. The flow should be adequate to prevent detritus accumulation without buffeting the colony.

• Water Parameters: Maintaining stable and consistent water parameters is essential for the health, growth, and vibrant coloration of Acan Bowerbanki.

  • Temperature: 72-78°F (22-26°C)

  • Salinity: 1.024-1.026 specific gravity

  • Alkalinity: 8-10 dKH

  • Calcium: 400-450 ppm

  • Magnesium: 1300-1400 ppm

  • Nitrate: <10 ppm

  • Phosphate: <0.05 ppm

• Feeding: While photosynthetic, Acan Bowerbanki are opportunistic feeders and will greatly benefit from regular target feeding. Offer small, meaty foods such as finely chopped mysis shrimp, enriched brine shrimp, coral pellets, or high-quality coral-specific foods 2-3 times per week. Feed after the lights dim or turn off when their feeding tentacles are extended.

• Placement: Place the ARC Master Acan Bowerbanki Colony on a stable rock structure or on the sandbed, ensuring it has ample space. Its feeding tentacles can extend at night and may sting neighboring corals, so allow a buffer zone. They are generally considered semi-aggressive.

With its stunning blend of fiery red-orange and vibrant emerald green, this ARC Master Acan Bowerbanki Colony is an extraordinary and rewarding centerpiece that will enrich the beauty and diversity of your reef aquarium for years to come!
