Placement & Growth

ACI Cultured Mohawk Zoanthids can be placed on stable rockwork where they receive appropriate lighting and water movement.

Once established, Zoanthids can spread across surrounding surfaces and gradually form larger colonies. For easier growth management, consider placing the frag on an isolated rock or within a dedicated zoanthid garden.

Leave adequate space between the colony and neighboring corals as it grows.

Lighting & Water Flow

Provide low to moderate reef lighting with low to moderate water movement.

Flow should help prevent debris from accumulating around the polyps without continuously blasting the colony.

When introducing the coral to stronger reef lighting, gradual acclimation is recommended.

Feeding & Nutrition

Mohawk Zoanthids receive much of their nutritional needs through photosynthesis and generally do not require direct target feeding.

They may benefit from nutrients and appropriately sized suspended foods available within a healthy reef aquarium.

Never boil, steam, microwave, or otherwise heat rock containing Zoanthids. Keep corals and fragging materials away from children and pets.
