10-Pack Cerith Snails (Cerithium spp.)

Strengthen your reef aquarium's cleanup crew with this 10-Pack of Cerith Snails, one of the most versatile and beneficial algae-eating snails available. Cerith Snails spend their days grazing on film algae, diatoms, cyanobacteria, and detritus while also burrowing through the substrate to help keep your sand bed clean and oxygenated.

Unlike many algae grazers that focus only on rocks and glass, Cerith Snails work throughout the aquarium—cleaning rockwork, glass, overflow boxes, and the sand bed. Their small size allows them to reach tight spaces where larger snails cannot, making them an essential part of a balanced cleanup crew.

Cerith Snails are compatible with nearly all reef-safe fish, corals, shrimp, hermit crabs, and other invertebrates. Their combination of algae grazing and sand-sifting behavior makes them one of the most versatile members of any cleanup crew.

Because they feed on naturally occurring algae and biofilm, mature aquariums with established rockwork provide the best long-term environment. If natural food becomes limited, supplement with algae-based foods as needed.
