Commonly called Meat Corals, Acanthophyllia are large single-polyp LPS corals that create an immediate centerpiece on the aquarium sandbed. Place Acanthophyllia corals on a stable section of the sandbed where their fleshy tissue can expand without rubbing against sharp rockwork.

Supplemental feeding is optional but may support growth and overall condition. Small portions of appropriately sized meaty reef foods may be offered periodically when the coral displays a feeding response.
