Care & Compatibility

• Temperament: aggressive and territorial, especially as adults.
• Plan for an adult size of approximately 3–4 inches.
• Minimum aquarium guidance: 30 gallons for an individual, depending on stocking and layout; a group needs substantially more territory and careful planning.
• Generally compatible with corals, but may harass timid fish and other damsels.
• Provide rockwork, caves, and broken sight lines; monitor aggression and have a separation plan.

Feeding

Offer appropriately sized marine pellets or flakes, frozen mysis, and a varied omnivorous diet. Avoid overfeeding and ensure each fish receives food.

Water & Arrival

Use a fully cycled, stable saltwater aquarium. Typical tropical marine conditions include approximately 75–78°F, specific gravity 1.024–1.026, and pH 8.1–8.4. Ammonia and nitrite should be undetectable. Follow supplied arrival instructions and use an appropriate quarantine setup. Do not use live fish to cycle an aquarium.

$59.99 overnight livestock shipping to the contiguous 48 states and Washington, DC. No Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, territories, PO boxes, military addresses, or international delivery. Livestock is excluded from free standard shipping. Separate fulfillment groups may incur separate checkout charges.

Ships Monday–Wednesday, subject to supplier readiness and safe weather. Allow up to a 14-day quarantine/preparation window before dispatch. Overnight transit begins after shipment, not when ordered. Supplier preparation does not replace your own quarantine or guarantee disease-free fish.

Useful Pairings
