Powerful, Even Coverage

The Natura iCon MAX is designed to illuminate wide reef aquariums while maintaining usable PAR at depth. Its rectangular panel design and custom reflectors distribute light throughout the aquarium, helping reduce harsh hotspots, excessive light spill, and shadowing between coral colonies.

In manufacturer testing conducted across a 72-point grid, one fixture produced the following results at 24 inches from the light:

• Peak PAR: 515
• Center average: 470
• Full-grid average: 324
• Lowest measured reading: 160

PAR requirements vary based on aquarium dimensions, mounting height, aquascape, water clarity, coral placement, and selected lighting program. Begin at a reduced intensity and use the acclimation program when introducing this fixture to an established reef.

Full-Spectrum Coral Lighting

Orphek’s mixed-color dual-chip technology combines multiple wavelengths inside each LED package for smooth blending and broad spectral output. Its 390–740 nm spectrum includes UV-violet, violet, blue, ice blue, green, amber, and red wavelengths selected to support coral growth, coloration, fluorescence, and natural appearance.

The expanded blue spectrum combines:

• UV/Violet: 390–415 nm
• Violet: 420–430 nm
• Blue: 450–470 nm
• Ice Blue: 470–480 nm

Intelligent iCon App Control

Control the Natura iCon MAX through the free Orphek iCon app for iOS and Android. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity provide access to individual channel control, custom schedules, preset programs, acclimation settings, and natural sun and moon synchronization.

Available control features include:

• Six-channel spectrum adjustment
• Helius growth and coloration program
• Automatic geolocation
• Sun and Moon Sync
• Lunar intensity limits from 0.01% to 1%
• Seasonal synchronization calendar
• Acclimation mode
• Cloud simulation
• Jellyfish mode
• Fully customized daily programs

Recommended Applications

• SPS-dominant reef aquariums
• Mixed SPS and LPS reef systems
• Large and deep reef displays
• Coral grow-out and propagation systems
• Coral spawning and research systems
• Public aquariums and private collections

Recommended mounting height is approximately 8 inches above the water. Final placement and intensity should be adjusted for the aquarium’s dimensions, livestock, and desired coverage.
