Bring a burst of color and compact branching growth to your reef with the ORA Rainbow Stylophora Coral. This vibrant aquacultured SPS coral combines beautiful shades of purple, green, and pink in one remarkable specimen.
Stylophora corals are commonly known as Cat’s Paw Corals because of their thick, rounded branches. As this coral matures, it develops a dense, bushy colony covered with colorful polyps, adding both texture and brilliant contrast to an established reef aquarium.
The Rainbow Stylophora is generally more forgiving than many Acropora species, making it an excellent introduction to colorful branching SPS corals for aquarists who can maintain stable reef conditions.

Placement and Water Flow
Place the Rainbow Stylophora in the middle-to-upper portion of an established reef aquarium. Provide moderate-to-strong, varied water movement that reaches around and between its branches.
Avoid directing a concentrated stream from a circulation pump directly at the coral. Leave sufficient room around the specimen for future branching growth and to prevent contact with neighboring corals.
Lighting and Acclimation
Medium-to-high reef lighting supports healthy growth and helps maintain its distinctive rainbow coloration. Its final appearance may vary depending on lighting intensity and spectrum.
Begin the coral under moderate lighting and gradually acclimate it to brighter conditions. Sudden exposure to intense lighting can cause stress, color loss, or bleaching.
Aquarium Stability
Like other SPS corals, the Rainbow Stylophora performs best when alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, salinity, temperature, and nutrient levels remain stable.
It may be easier to maintain than many Acropora varieties, but it should still be added only to a mature, stable reef aquarium.
Feeding
The Rainbow Stylophora obtains most of its energy through photosynthesis. It may also capture appropriately sized suspended coral foods and plankton from the water column.
Supplemental feeding is optional and should be performed sparingly to avoid negatively affecting aquarium water quality.
