Placement and Water Flow
Place the Purple Jade Bonsai Acropora in the middle-to-upper portion of an established reef aquarium. Provide moderate-to-strong, varied water movement that circulates between its branches without blasting the coral from one direction.
Leave adequate space between this coral and neighboring specimens for future growth and to prevent contact.
Lighting and Acclimation
Medium-to-high reef lighting supports healthy growth and strong coloration. Warmer lighting showcases its green polyps and purple tips, while blue and actinic lighting can bring out a deeper overall purple appearance.
Begin the coral under moderate lighting and gradually acclimate it to higher intensity. Stable alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, salinity, temperature, and nutrient levels are essential for long-term Acropora health.
