The ORA Gold Nugget Maroon Clownfish is one of the most distinctive designer clownfish available. This captive-bred variety begins with a largely white body that gradually transforms into a shimmering gold as the fish matures.
Dark maroon fins, fluorescent orange edging and intense dark eyes create a dramatic contrast against its bright body. Some individuals may also develop icy-blue iridescence along the edges of their coloration.
Although its appearance is extraordinary, the Gold Nugget retains the personality and care requirements of a Gold Stripe Maroon Clownfish. It is bold, territorial and best suited for an aquarist prepared for the stronger personality of a maroon clownfish.

Diet and Feeding
The Gold Nugget Maroon Clownfish is an omnivore and should receive a varied marine diet consisting of:
-
High-quality marine pellets
-
Marine flakes
-
Frozen mysis shrimp
-
Enriched brine shrimp
-
Finely chopped marine foods
Feed small portions two or three times daily. Only provide an amount the fish can consume within a few minutes.
Compatibility
Maroon clownfish are generally more territorial than Ocellaris and Percula clownfish. Provide adequate aquarium space, live-rock hiding places and carefully selected tankmates.
Do not place two randomly selected maroon clownfish together without a proper pairing process. Serious aggression can occur while they establish dominance. Customers who want two fish should purchase an established or professionally selected pair whenever possible.
An anemone is not required. If one is provided, a Bubble Tip Anemone is a commonly accepted host. Anemones should only be added to mature aquariums with suitable lighting and stable water conditions.
