Place the mushroom in an area with low to moderate lighting and gentle, indirect water movement. Excessive flow may prevent it from fully expanding or cause it to detach. Allow the coral time to settle before gradually exposing it to stronger lighting.
Maintain stable reef aquarium parameters and provide sufficient space between the mushroom and neighboring corals. Like other Discosoma mushrooms, it may expand beyond its resting size and reproduce under favorable aquarium conditions.
