The Iron Man Chalice Coral is a striking large polyp stony coral featuring vivid red to rust-colored tissue contrasted by bright yellow to greenish-yellow eyes. Its bold coloration and fluorescent appearance make it an impressive addition to mixed reef aquariums, especially when viewed under blue reef lighting.
This aquacultured chalice is adaptable to different lighting conditions and develops an attractive encrusting to plating growth pattern as it matures. Its relatively straightforward care requirements make it suitable for both newer reef keepers and experienced coral collectors.
Each order includes one aquacultured frag averaging approximately 3/4 to 1 inch in size.
Please Note
The photograph represents the typical appearance of this coral. The exact coral received will vary naturally in size, shape, coloration, number of eyes, and growth pattern. Coloration may also change depending on aquarium lighting, water chemistry, placement, and acclimation. This is not a WYSIWYG coral.

Placement and Care
Begin by placing the Iron Man Chalice Coral in the lower portion of the aquarium under low to moderate lighting. Allow it time to acclimate before gradually moving it into stronger light if desired.
Provide moderate, indirect water movement that keeps the coral clean without directing a forceful stream against its tissue. Chalice corals may extend sweeper tentacles, particularly after the aquarium lights turn off. Leave several inches of space between this coral and neighboring livestock to prevent stinging and tissue damage.
Stable reef parameters are important for maintaining healthy tissue, strong skeletal growth, and vibrant coloration. Avoid sudden changes in alkalinity, temperature, salinity, or lighting intensity.
Recommended Water Parameters
Temperature: 75–79°F
Salinity: 1.024–1.026 SG
pH: 8.1–8.4
Alkalinity: 8–12 dKH
Calcium: 400–450 ppm
Magnesium: 1,250–1,400 ppm
Feeding
The Iron Man Chalice Coral receives much of its energy from reef lighting but can benefit from occasional supplemental feeding. Fine coral foods or small meaty foods may be offered when its feeding tentacles are extended. Avoid placing large pieces of food directly on the coral.
