Maximum Flow for Large Reef Aquariums

Take water movement to the next level with the AquaIllumination Nero 7 Smart Wave Pump. Engineered for medium to extra-large reef aquariums, the Nero 7 delivers an impressive 4,000 gallons per hour of broad, adjustable flow while maintaining the compact, sleek design that has made the Nero series one of the most trusted names in reef circulation.

Unlike traditional powerheads that produce a narrow, forceful stream, the Nero 7 creates a wide, gentle flow pattern that improves overall circulation, keeps detritus suspended for easier filtration, and helps eliminate dead spots without overwhelming delicate corals. The result is healthier coral growth, improved gas exchange, and a cleaner, more natural reef environment.

Control is effortless using the free Mobius or myAI app through built-in Bluetooth connectivity. Easily customize Constant Speed, Random, Pulse, Schedule, Feed, and All-Off modes to recreate natural ocean currents or build a personalized daily flow schedule. For advanced aquarium automation, the Nero 7 is also compatible with Neptune Apexsystems using the optional MXM module.

Designed for larger reef systems, the Nero 7 features a powerful magnetic mount that supports glass up to 0.79 inches (20 mm) thick while allowing multi-directional adjustment so you can direct flow exactly where your aquarium needs it. The included Fish Guard provides added protection for slower swimming fish, anemones, and other delicate livestock.
