Powerful, Intelligent Water Flow for Thriving Reef Aquariums

Create natural reef currents with the AquaIllumination Nero 5 Smart Wave Pump. Delivering up to 3,000 gallons per hour of broad, adjustable flow, the Nero 5 is designed to eliminate dead spots, suspend detritus for easier filtration, and provide the water movement corals and marine fish need to thrive.

Unlike traditional powerheads that create a narrow, forceful stream, the Nero 5's innovative propeller design produces a wide, gentle flow pattern that reaches more of your aquarium while reducing direct pressure on delicate corals. The result is healthier coral extension, improved gas exchange, and a cleaner aquarium.

Despite its impressive performance, the Nero 5 maintains a remarkably compact footprint, making it easy to hide within your aquascape. The adjustable magnetic mount allows you to precisely aim flow exactly where it's needed, giving you complete control over circulation.

Programming is simple using the Mobius or myAI app via built-in Bluetooth connectivity. Customize daily schedules, create random reef simulations, pulse modes, constant flow, feed mode, or synchronize multiple Nero pumps to recreate natural ocean currents. The pump can also be integrated with Neptune Apex systems using the optional MXM module.

For added peace of mind, every Nero 5 includes the AI Fish Guard, helping protect curious fish, anemones, and other aquarium inhabitants while maintaining excellent water movement.
